Organic cultivation for the sustainable supply of Tanya`s Angels Children’s Home

As a part of our farm project we would like to  plant local fruit, vegetables Fruit Trees and grains according to ecological principles, (ground and altitude conditions)  We plan to sell the excess production at local markets or swap/trade  The generated surpluses flow back into the financing of our orphanage.

 We would like to grow, Tomatoes, cucumber, onions, spinach, pumpkin, peppers, sweet potatoes, chillies, corn, Papaya trees, banana mango,

Also we would like to have our own animals, Cows, (one for milk) and meat, Goats (for milk and meat) chickens (for eggs and meat) While having our own farm it is so important for the children to grow up knowing where the food has come from, and also to interact on the farm with caring for the animals, (growing up and having my own animals I know how important this is) Helping with land picking the fruit and veg, for skills in their future  lives.

 I don’t think there is anything better than going down the garden and picking and eating food that’s been home grown it’s so rewarding and that’s what we need to teach our children.

I’m hoping Together with the SAT that  we can  pass on our knowledge and experience to other small-scale farmers. In this way we are able to encourage sustainable cultivation and improved self-sufficiency.
